STEPHANIE JONES FOR US CONGRESS - NEVADA DISTRICT-3

Make Nevada Great - DONATE!!

Did you know In 2010, the average unlawful immigrant household received around  $24,721 in government benefits and services while paying some $10,334 in  taxes. This generated an average annual fiscal deficit (benefits  received minus taxes paid) of around $14,387 per household. This cost  had to be borne by U.S. taxpayers. Amnesty would provide unlawful  households with access to over 80 means-tested welfare programs,  Obamacare, Social Security, and Medicare. The fiscal deficit for each  household would soar. Amnesty and tolerating "illegal aliens" is NOT an option as it HURTS "We The People" of this country and the great state of Nevada!

WHY IS 85% OF NEVADA OWNED BY THE FEDS??

  • Did you know over 85% of Nevada is owned by The Federal Government?

  • And in Clark County (District 3) almost 90% is Federal Land?
  • The Feds basically own more land in Clark County (My District 3) Nevada than in the entire country!!! WHY?
  • According to the Constitution: The federal government is limited in its acquisition of land to four purposes, military forts, arsenals, dockyards and other needful buildings. Nowhere in the Constitution does it grant the federal government the power to own millions of acres.
  • Nevada has about 70 Million Acres, yet only about 9 Million are owned by the private sector...that includes roads and businesses!
  • CONGRESS has the authority to "dispose" of Federal Land, as in selling it to"the people!" Why isn't this happening??? WHAT THE "HECK" HAS CONGRESS BEEN DOING ALL THESE YEARS???
  • What that boils down to in Clark County (the southern tip around Las Vegas) THE PEOPLE OWN a "measley" 0.08 Acre PER PERSON (3,500 sq').
The NATIONAL AVERAGE IS 4.2 Acres (180,000 sq'). THAT INCLUDES ROADS & BUSINESSES!
  • The new single homes built here in So. Nevada are "smooshed" so tightly together you can jump from roof to roof, and the yards are the size of a Dog-Run!

  • Stephanie asks the tough questions!

  • Why do Nevadans only own 15% of the entire state?
  • Why is almost 90% of Clark County owned by the Federal Government who won't sell the land to Nevada Citizens?
  • Why is Federal land only sold to the private sector "inside" Las Vegas city limits and not "outside" (per the So. Nevada Public Land Mgt Act of 1997)?
  • Why must Nevadans live on such tiny lots of land when there is so much vacant land not utilized, which could potentially be developed?
  • Bill 227 created a Land Task Force in 2013 which proposed a transfer of Federal Land to the State for $1,000/Acre (Phase-1)
  • We need the land "disposed" of to THE PEOPLE, not the state! Can you imagine what "we the little people" could do with this land if made affordable...for $1000/Acre? It would be a new "Gold Rush!" The economy would thrive, the people would have "room" to live and build new schools and start new businesses etc.
  • NEVADA COULD BE GREAT AGAIN!

PRO-CHOICE FOR EDUCATION

  • THE CHOICE OF WHAT OUR CHILDREN LEARN MUST BE MADE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL, not from 2000 miles away!
  • Our children spend 6 hours a day in an institution paid by OUR tax dollars and they emerge knowing how to "speed text" take "selfies" and "SnapChat"...and little else. When was the last time YOU used the "Quadratic Equation" to pay your bills?

  • COMMON CORE MUST BE ABOLISHED! Common Core has dumbed our kids down to the point they don't know how to get a job, but oh they can dissect a frog. They know how to text on their phone, but don't know how to take out a loan...or mail a package at the post office...

The Lyrics to the song "#DontStayInSchool by Boyinaband on YouTube says it best:

#DontStayInSchool  LYRICS:

I wasn’t taught how to get a job, but I can remember dissecting a frog. I wasn’t taught how to pay tax, but I know loads about Shakespeare's classics.  I was never taught how to VOTE they devoted that time to defining isotopes, I wasn’t taught how to look after my health but mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.  Never spent a lesson on current events  instead I studied The Old American West. I was never taught what laws there are. I was never taught what laws there are.  Let me repeat - I was not taught the laws for the country I live in, but I know how Henry the VIII killed his women. Divorced beheaded died, divorced beheaded survived glad that’s in my head instead of financial advice.  I was shown the wavelengths of different hues of light but I was never taught my human rights,  Apparently there’s 30, do you know them?   I don’t Why the hell can’t we both recite them by rote?!  I know igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks Yet I don’t know squat about trading stocks, Or how money works at all - where does it come from? Who controls it?   How does the thing that motivates the world function?  not taught how to budget and disburse my earnings, I was too busy rehearsing cursive. Didn’t learn how much it costs to raise a kid or what an affidavit is, but I spent days on what the quadratic equation is..  negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared  minus 4ac over 2a.. That’s insane, that’s absolutely insane. They made me learn that over basic first aid.  How to recognise the most deadly Mental disorders // or  diseases with preventable causes // How to buy a  house with a mortgage // if I could afford it  ‘cause abstract maths was deemed more important,   than advice that would literally save thousands of lives..  but it’s cool, ‘cause now I could tell you if the number of unnecessary deaths caused by that choice was prime.  Never taught present day practical medicines,  but I was told what the ancient hippocratic method is “I’ve got a headache, the pain is ceaseless what should I take?” umm... maybe try some leeches?  “Could we discuss domestic abuse and get the facts or how to help my depressed friend with their mental state?” Ummm... no  but learn mental maths because “you won’t have a calculator with you every day!” (hello cell phones) They say it’s not the kids, the parents are the problem, Then if you taught the kids to parent that’s the problem solved then! All this advice about using a condom but none for when you actually have a kid when you want one!  I’m only fluent in this language, for serious? The rest of the world speaks two, do you think I’m an idiot? They chose the solar over the political system So like a typical citizen now I don’t know what I’m voting on,  which policies exist, or how to make them change "mais oui, je parle un peu de Francais" So at 18, I was expected to elect a representative  For a system I had never ever ever ever been presented with.  But I won’t take it I’ll tell everyone my childhood was wasted, I’ll share it everywhere how I was “educated” And insist these pointless things #DontStayInSchool

PRO-CHOICE FOR HEALTH

  • Why should "we the little people" rely on the Government to know what is best for our health?
  • Why does the Federal Government only promote "reactive" Health Coverage and Ignore 'Healthy" lifestyle choices like exercising?
  • Shouldn't we choose whether we want coverage or not? Whether we can afford it or not?
  • Shouldn't we choose what kind of coverage we want or need? What about Alternative Medicine?

  • I do NOT support terminating a Human Heart Beat!
  • I do support Planned Parenthood & their affordable women's health treatments such as Physicals and the "Morning After Pill."
  • I support the removal of the Obamacare (aka The Affordable Care Act) mandate which violated our right to choose what is best for our health!
  • I support adding Alternative Medicine to any health coverage plan.
  • I support incentives for individuals who live a healthy lifestyle.
